Do Not Use to Pump Gasoline!!!
Gasoline will deteriorate the plastics this pump is made from. This causes swelling of the rod, piston, and barrel which will lock the piston inside the barrel rendering the pump ineffective.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Why do I need to buy the Static Dissipating Filter Pumper for solvents, diesel and kerosene?

2. What if the ground wire inside the hose or the external ground wire break?

3. Do I need to use the A10 copper tube assembly on the end of my hose?

4. Can I drain the Filter Pumper?

1. Why do I need to buy the Static Dissipating Filter Pumper for solvents, diesel and kerosene?
The standard Filter Pumper, with black plastics, can generate static electricity during normal operation. If this static were to discharge to a near by source it could ignite vapors and cause an explosion. The Static Dissipating Filter Pumper, with red plastics, also creates static electricity. However, the static pumps have stainless steel incorporated into the plastics and ground wires to safely divert any static electricity generated to an appropriate and safe ground source. Please read the safety page located in the Static Dissipating portion of this website.

2. What if the ground wire inside the hose or the external ground wire break?
The ground wires included with the pump are extremely important for personal safety. If one of the wires break do not use the pump until you have replaced the broken wire. Please check our Static Dissipating products page for replacement parts and filters.

3. Do I need to use the A10 copper tube assembly on the end of my hose?
Yes, the A10 is part of the ground wire inside the hose. It is essential to use both ground sources during use. Plus the hooked copper tube will help hold the hose in place while you use the pump and it also keeps particulates out of you hose.

4. Can I drain the Filter Pumper?
Yes, if you take off the hose cap or open the ball valve if you have an A10 and hold the pump upside down. This opens all the check valves inside the pump and will allow fluid to drain out the hose. This will not work if you have a filter on your pump. If you have a filter you must remove the pump from the fluid and pump out any fluid remaining in the pump.
